5:15 to 6 pm - Video Review/Class Room & off ice (Slide Board/Mobility Training)

**Players will be divided into small groups by skill/age


Details:

  • Technical Individual Skating guaranteed to improve Balance & Power
  • Functional Edgework designed to educate players
  • Small Group Training 
  • Limited to 30 Players
  • Professional KNPS Coaches
  • 8 hours on ice/week
  • 3 hours off ice - video analysis & review, slide board, stickhandling
  • 2015 and older have the option to undergo mobility screening with NY Rangers PT Kevin Cota (via Performance Optimal Health) – athletes will be provided feedback on performance and an initial exercise program

Skills Taught - Major Focus:

  • Scoring Technique – Major Focus
  • Transitional Skating with Puck & w/o Puck
  • Backwards Skating
  • 1st 3 Steps & Quickness
  • Positioning in the offensive zone
  • Escapes to create time and space 

Other Skills Taught:

  • Communication with Teammates
  • Understanding Offensive Tactics to create scoring opportunities
  • Cycling the Puck
  • Forechecking
