Description:
A complete breakdown of skating mechanics. It's our most technical class and 100% skating. Each student will receive an individual player video analysis. (stride, tight turns, 1st 3 steps and more)
A balance of intensity and prioritizing time to reinforce proper technique while correcting bad habits. Players will master the fundamentals, develop new skating skills crucial to the modern hockey game while learning how to get more power and efficiency in their skating.
Players will progress to skating all functional drills with pucks.
**Each day will finish with competitive 3 v 3 hockey perfect for working skills, creativity and fun!
Major Skills Taught:
- Forward Stride, Functional edge work, Explosive Power & More!
- Body Position, Balance & Quickness
- Backward Skating, Proper push and Body Mechanics
- Edge application and multi directional transitions
- Linear Crossovers & Stops and Starts
- 1st 3 steps
- Puck Control and integrated hockey drills
Details:
- 7 weeks of progressive hockey training
- Intense AAA format on ice sessions
- 2 hours per day
- 6 to 1 Ratio // Limited to 30 players
- Small training groups - players grouped by skill/age
- 20 minutes/day dedicated to backward skating
- Individual player Video Analysis
