This program combines advanced skating development with modern defensive concepts. Players will learn how to control space, maintain defensive positioning, close gaps, and defend effectively while skating at game speed.
The focus is on developing defenders who can move efficiently, transition quickly, and make smart decisions under pressure. Every drill is designed to connect skating mechanics directly to defensive game situations.

Connor Jones
Assistant Coach, Princeton Men's Ice Hockey (NCAA Division I)
Connor is a former professional player who competed in both the NHL and AHL before transitioning into coaching. He now serves as an assistant coach at Princeton while continuing to work in player development. As a long-time KNPS instructor, Connor specializes in helping players translate skating mechanics into offensive success through better puck possession, deception, and decision making.
Players will have the opportunity to work directly with Coach Jones throughout the week while learning the habits, details, and decision-making skills that help players become more effective offensive players in game situations.
